An Efficient Collision Warning Algorithm for Robot Arms

Abstract

A hashing technique is used as an arm collision warning algorithm for two armed robots which can be expected to be a factor 103 more efficient in memory resources than a direct geometrical calculation. Computational savings are also achieved.
