Integrating Conceptual Spaces in Frames.

Conceptual spaces and recursive frames are two different models of conceptual representation. This paper explains their commonalities and differences. We argue that these seemingly competing methods can complement each other. Frames can relate conceptual spaces in different domains making them an attractive supplement for the theory of conceptual spaces. In contrast, frames benefit from a more fine-grained and structured representation of properties that can be only provided by conceptual spaces. Based on existing overlaps in research, the paper explores how combinations of frames and conceptual spaces can be generated and how they can be used to develop a better understanding of natural concepts.
