While Signed Distance Fields (SDF) are well-established for modeling watertight surfaces, Unsigned Distance Fields (UDF) broaden the scope to include open surfaces and models with complex inner structures. Despite their flexibility, UDFs encounter significant challenges in high-fidelity 3D reconstruction, such as non-differentiability at the zero level set, difficulty in achieving the exact zero value, numerous local minima, vanishing gradients, and oscillating gradient directions near the zero level set. To address these challenges, we propose Details Enhanced UDF (DEUDF) learning that integrates normal alignment and the SIREN network for capturing fine geometric details, adaptively weighted Eikonal constraints to address vanishing gradients near the target surface, unconditioned MLP-based UDF representation to relax non-negativity constraints, and DCUDF for extracting the local minimal average distance surface. These strategies collectively stabilize the learning process from unoriented point clouds and enhance the accuracy of UDFs. Our computational results demonstrate that DEUDF outperforms existing UDF learning methods in both accuracy and the quality of reconstructed surfaces.

Tongue diagnosis is a vital tool in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, providing key insights into a patient's health by analyzing tongue attributes. The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the need for accurate remote medical assessments, emphasizing the importance of precise tongue attribute recognition via telehealth. To address this, we propose a Sign-Oriented multi-label Attributes Detection Framework. Our approach begins with an adaptive tongue feature extraction module that standardizes tongue images and mitigates environmental factors. This is followed by a Sign-oriented Network (SignNet) that identifies specific tongue attributes, emulating the diagnostic process of experienced practitioners and enabling comprehensive health evaluations. To validate our methodology, we developed an extensive tongue image dataset specifically designed for telemedicine. Unlike existing datasets, ours is tailored for remote diagnosis, with a comprehensive set of attribute labels. This dataset will be openly available, providing a valuable resource for research. Initial tests have shown improved accuracy in detecting various tongue attributes, highlighting our framework's potential as an essential tool for remote medical assessments.

In clinical imaging, medical segmentation networks typically require continually adapting to new data from multiple sites over time, as aggregating all data for learning at once can be impractical due to storage limitations and privacy concerns. However, existing methods basically overlook domain-specific characteristics and fall short of adequately capturing domain-invariant knowledge during continual learning, leading to undesired catastrophic forgetting of previous sites and inferior generalization to new sites. To tackle this issue, this paper introduces FR2Seg, to sufficiently exploit both domain-specific and domain-invariant knowledge for efficient continual learning with the aid of low-frequency cues. For the former aspect, we propose a Fourier style replay module to synthesize pseudo images with old-site styles for data augmentation during new-site training, effectively preventing catastrophic forgetting without sacrificing data privacy. For the latter, we present a Fourier adaptive consistency regularization to identify and constrain the optimization of domain-invariant parameters with explicit awareness of knowledge transferability across sites, ensuring excellent generalizability to new sites. Experimental results on two public datasets confirm our method's superiority over existing state-of-the-art continual learning methods.

Diffusion models have garnered significant attention for MRI Super-Resolution (SR) and have achieved promising results. However, existing diffusion-based SR models face two formidable challenges: 1) insufficient exploitation of complementary information from multi-contrast images, which hinders the faithful reconstruction of texture details and anatomical structures; and 2) reliance on fixed magnification factors, such as 2× or 4×, which is impractical for clinical scenarios that require arbitrary scale magnification. To circumvent these issues, this paper introduces IM-Diff, an implicit multi-contrast diffusion model for arbitrary-scale MRI SR, leveraging the merits of both multi-contrast information and the continuous nature of implicit neural representation (INR). Firstly, we propose an innovative hierarchical multi-contrast fusion (HMF) module with reference-aware cross Mamba (RCM) to effectively incorporate target-relevant information from the reference image into the target image, while ensuring a substantial receptive field with computational efficiency. Secondly, we introduce multiple wavelet INR magnification (WINRM) modules into the denoising process by integrating the wavelet implicit neural non-linearity, enabling effective learning of continuous representations of MR images. The involved wavelet activation enhances space-frequency concentration, further bolstering representation accuracy and robustness in INR. Extensive experiments on three public datasets demonstrate the superiority of our method over existing state-of-the-art SR models across various magnification factors.

The advancement of diffusion models has enhanced the realism of AI-generated content but also raised concerns about misuse, necessitating robust copyright protection and tampering localization. Although recent methods have made progress toward unified solutions, their reliance on post hoc processing introduces considerable application inconvenience and compromises forensic reliability. We propose StableGuard, a novel framework that seamlessly integrates a binary watermark into the diffusion generation process, ensuring copyright protection and tampering localization in Latent Diffusion Models through an end-to-end design. We develop a Multiplexing Watermark VAE (MPW-VAE) by equipping a pretrained Variational Autoencoder (VAE) with a lightweight latent residual-based adapter, enabling the generation of paired watermarked and watermark-free images. These pairs, fused via random masks, create a diverse dataset for training a tampering-agnostic forensic network. To further enhance forensic synergy, we introduce a Mixture-of-Experts Guided Forensic Network (MoE-GFN) that dynamically integrates holistic watermark patterns, local tampering traces, and frequency-domain cues for precise watermark verification and tampered region detection. The MPW-VAE and MoE-GFN are jointly optimized in a self-supervised, end-to-end manner, fostering a reciprocal training between watermark embedding and forensic accuracy. Extensive experiments demonstrate that StableGuard consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods in image fidelity, watermark verification, and tampering localization.

This study investigates the penetration game strategy of the high dynamic vehicle against high-velocity interceptors in environments with multiple static no-fly zones. The primary issue addressed is the deficiency in control precision and the inadequacy of control margin under conditions of complex multi-constraint coupling. Firstly, an enhanced artificial potential field method is devised for the lateral penetration guidance strategy of high dynamic vehicles, which includes a predictive repulsion potential field, a buffer zone and new potential field functions. This approach not only averts trajectory oscillations caused by heading judgment ambiguity in the tangent direction of the obstacle area, but also significantly mitigates the inherent conflict between obstacle avoidance and target reachability. Secondly, considering the potential failure of the lateral penetration guidance strategy due to the high-velocity maneuvering of interceptors and detection sensor errors of the high dynamic vehicle, this paper initially designs a Kalman filter to denoise the detection information and provide a single-step optimal estimate. Subsequently, a multi-step state predictor based on the Transformer network is proposed, which obtains its future multi-step early warning information from the denoised detection historical data and refines it based on three-dimensional geometry knowledge. Then, the combination of the filtered estimate and the refined early warning information substantially enhances the success rate of the high dynamic vehicle in game confrontations with the high-velocity interceptors. Lastly, the numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness and performance of the penetration game guidance strategy.

GDFace: Gated Deformation for Multi-View Face Image Synthesis

Photorealistic multi-view face synthesis from a single image is an important but challenging problem. Existing methods mainly learn a texture mapping model from the source face to the target face. However, they fail to consider the internal deformation caused by the change of poses, leading to the unsatisfactory synthesized results for large pose variations. In this paper, we propose a Gated Deformable Face Synthesis Network to model the deformation of faces that aids the synthesis of the target face image. Specifically, we propose a dual network that consists of two modules. The first module estimates the deformation of two views in the form of convolution offsets according to the input and target poses. The second one, on the other hand, leverages the predicted deformation offsets to create the target face image. In this way, pose changes are explicitly modeled in the face generator to cope with geometric transformation, by adaptively focusing on pertinent regions of the source image. To compensate offset estimation errors, we introduce a soft-gating mechanism that enables adaptive fusion between deformable features and primitive features. Extensive experimental results on five widely-used benchmarks show that our approach performs favorably against the state-of-the-arts on multi-view face synthesis, especially for large pose changes.

Angular Triplet-Center Loss for Multi-View 3D Shape Retrieval

How to obtain the desirable representation of a 3D shape, which is discriminative across categories and polymerized within classes, is a significant challenge in 3D shape retrieval. Most existing 3D shape retrieval methods focus on capturing strong discriminative shape representation with softmax loss for the classification task, while the shape feature learning with metric loss is neglected for 3D shape retrieval. In this paper, we address this problem based on the intuition that the cosine distance of shape embeddings should be close enough within the same class and far away across categories. Since most of 3D shape retrieval tasks use cosine distance of shape features for measuring shape similarity, we propose a novel metric loss named angular triplet-center loss, which directly optimizes the cosine distances between the features. It inherits the triplet-center loss property to achieve larger inter-class distance and smaller intra-class distance simultaneously. Unlike previous metric loss utilized in 3D shape retrieval methods, where Euclidean distance is adopted and the margin design is difficult, the proposed method is more convenient to train feature embeddings and more suitable for 3D shape retrieval. Moreover, the angle margin is adopted to replace the cosine margin in order to provide more explicit discriminative constraints on an embedding space. Extensive experimental results on two popular 3D object retrieval benchmarks, ModelNet40 and ShapeNetCore 55, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed loss, and our method has achieved state-ofthe-art results on various 3D shape datasets.

Rethinking Loss Design for Large-scale 3D Shape Retrieval

Learning discriminative shape representations is a crucial issue for large-scale 3D shape retrieval. In this paper, we propose the Collaborative Inner Product Loss (CIP Loss) to obtain ideal shape embedding that discriminative among different categories and clustered within the same class. Utilizing simple inner product operation, CIP loss explicitly enforces the features of the same class to be clustered in a linear subspace, while inter-class subspaces are constrained to be at least orthogonal. Compared to previous metric loss functions, CIP loss could provide more clear geometric interpretation for the embedding than Euclidean margin, and is easy to implement without normalization operation referring to cosine margin. Moreover, our proposed loss term can combine with other commonly used loss functions and can be easily plugged into existing off-the-shelf architectures. Extensive experiments conducted on the two public 3D object retrieval datasets, ModelNet and ShapeNetCore 55, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposal, and our method has achieved state-of-the-art results on both datasets.

Emphasizing 3D Properties in Recurrent Multi-View Aggregation for 3D Shape Retrieval

Multi-view based shape descriptors have achieved impressive performance for 3D shape retrieval. The core of view-based methods is to interpret 3D structures through 2D observations. However, most existing methods pay more attention to discriminative models and none of them necessarily incorporate the 3D properties of the objects. To resolve this problem, we propose an encoder-decoder recurrent feature aggregation network (ERFA-Net) to emphasize the 3D properties of 3D shapes in multi-view features aggregation. In our network, a view sequence of the shape is trained to encode a discriminative shape embedding and estimate unseen rendered views of any viewpoints. This generation task gives an effective supervision which makes the network exploit 3D properties of shapes through various 2D images. During feature aggregation, a discriminative feature representation across multiple views is effectively exploited based on LSTM network. The proposed 3D representation has following advantages against other state-of-the-art: 1) it performs robust discrimination under the existence of noise such as view missing and occlusion, because of the improvement brought by 3D properties. 2) it has strong generative capabilities, which is useful for various 3D shape tasks. We evaluate ERFA-Net on two popular 3D shape datasets, ModelNet and ShapeNetCore55, and ERFA-Net outperforms the state-of-the-art methods significantly. Extensive experiments show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed 3D representation.
